German Non-Center-Locations
In order to be able to meet the increasing demand for course places, since 2004 courses have also been organized outside the German Vipassana centers at various locations within Germany during the festive season and school vacations, the so-called “non-centre courses. Rented facilities outside the German centers, Dhamma-Dvara & Dhamma-Sampatti – run by the German Vipassana Association and Regional Groups of meditatators – where 10-day courses are offered:
Meppen is located in East Frisia and has been offering a 10-day course every year around the turn of the year for around 20 years, especially for meditators in northern Germany.
In Hausham, Bavaria, around five courses per year have been organized to date, but with the acquisition of the second center, these can now only be offered sporadically.

German Courses in the Vipassana Centers of Neighbouring Countries
In addition to the local Vipassana centers, Dhamma Dvara and Dhamma Sampatti, there are other centers in neighboring countries that also offer courses in the German language. (in Belgium, Switzerland, Poland and Austria)

Dhamma Padhāna, the European Long Course Center (ELCC)
Dhamma Padhāna, the European Long Course Center (ELCC) is located in Herefordshire, in the west of England, right next to Dhamma Dipa. It is the first Vipassana center in Europe built specifically for intensive meditation in longer courses. Serious meditators who have already completed several courses and have integrated meditation into their daily lives can meditate here for 20, 30, 45 or 60 days under ideal conditions
All participants are provided with a single room with bathroom and an individual meditation cell for independent and undisturbed meditation.
Dhamma Centers Worldwide
Vipassana Courses are offered in more than 261 Dhamma- centers worldwide and at over 130 other non-center locations. (Status: 2025.04)
The courses are usually conducted bilingually, in the local language and English. Each location has its own course program. Course registration can usually be done online.
